diving into life

Wow...it's been way too long since I updated this thing so I figured I would give it a whirl.

Last time I updated was right before camp began....whoa...what a ride! to quote from mr. peter eide...haha! Such a wonderful summer, growing and learning in God's word. Trusting in him at all times and being immersed in his love. Okoboji is great and i seriously loved it...the people, the camp, everything. God is so good.

In August, I moved to McFarland/Madison to start my student teaching in Sun Prairie and I LOVE IT! 7 weeks flew by so quickly and next week I am already in my next placement doing Kindergarten. In 2 month I graduate from college (finally)! I moved in with my friend Tina and her fiannce Matt. I love it here. It is so good to hang out with Tina again and they have a dog Remi that I get to play with everyday. I really enjoy the Madison area and its so interesting and exciting. I have been teaching in a 4K classroom but my placement has been Early Childhood. I have learned so much this semester from my cooperating teachers Lydia and Sally. They are great mentors and I really appreciate the opportunities that I have had with them over these past 7 weeks. So yeah, i think that's all that is really new in my life. I'm just riding this wave and taking everything one day at a time and God will provide! Seriously...so good!

Memorial Day....cleaning?

well...today is a beautiful day almost perfect and I'm spending it inside cleaning. This is by choice though...I have been so productive in the past 18hrs of my life! I went to Wal-Mart last night to buy cleaning supplies and whatever else that I needed, came home and cleaned the bathroom...the shower was gross, lets just leave it at that. Then I renewed my license plates and filled out my jury duty questionnaire...(gross right?)..found an online devotion and did it then went to bed. This morning I woke up starting getting things organized in my room and then I already tackled the living room fully. swept. swiffered. swiffer mopped. shook out rugs. rearranged the t.v. area. put the shoes on the rack. vacuumed the rugs and now i'm resting for a bit. Oh and I read captivating already this morning. God thank you for this wonderful, productive day. I hope everyone is having gt's at riverside...i'm missing them already! Well I think i'm going to go to Wal-Mart to vacuum out melissa's car. peace

the title of this blog pretty much says it all...

I have sooooooooooooooooo much to do today, mostly packing. Missy leaves today to make her trip around the midwest...UWW, UW-Lax, then either Mankato or back to camp. I'm glad we got to spend some time together before our adventures at camp together start. We made goals for the summer and I hope we can stick to them 1. Sister Bible time, daily....a chance for us to grow in our faith together. YESSS! 2. Running...this might be difficult depending on what my schedule ends up being but we can do it. okay so it's only 2 goals for right now but those are good goals to have. :) I'm extremely excited to see where God leads me this summer. I know that I am going to learn and grow so much. I can't wait to learn more about God, myself, all the amazing other people I'm going to be working with, and about life too. I have no idea what to expect and I like it. I still don't know what my job position is and I'm okay with that. I just hope that I do well at it. I have a busy two days ahead of me. I have to pack, pack, pack...then go to Britt's graduation party, maybe squeeze in some chinese time, have some besties time with my girls, tomorrow go to church, finish loading up my car, say good-byes, head to Mason City, IA for dinner with my bffffffffffff KATIE and possibly Brent Dodd, then head on over to camp, move in and sleeeep somewhere in there. THen at 12:00pm on Monday, I'm off to riverside for lifeguard training for the week. exciting stuff..yessss. :) I'm excited for the future but i have to think about today and now and thank you GOd for all things! Everybody's going to love todayyyy.

okay so i am sleeping in my regular room tonight...first time in about 2 months. I like to switch it up but i hope its a good slumber...i'm ready to have a good nights rest especially since I've been dreaming like a crazy person lately. I have had a joyous weekendish thing. I saw my best friend...she's awesome and ENGAGED?! It's cool and i just needed to be by her and hang out...you know, like bfffffs do. Seriously, amazing times. Then I went down to Iowa...good times? Pretty much. I really love seeing my sister and hanging out with her friends...that's right LIZZZZZZ i'm talking to you! I don't know how to feel about being there this summer anymore...but that's another batch of marbles altogether. God is still good...as always but now I need to get something off my chest.



FOOOZLE....WHY?! Why do things have to be so weird sometimes? Really, like really? Things get blown way out of proportion and awkward and idk I think I'm going on and on about this but really? i need some prayers about now....for clarity and to stop being a girl and overthinking everything.

Okay. Now that that is done. I'm going to read my bible and hope to get some clarity and go to bed.

lazy days

Sunday was completely lazy and relaxing. I loved it...I also made three amazing purchases. I bought some new Puma kicks that are black, white, and pink...i'm psyched to get those...and I also bought a pair of badgers pink Victoria's secret grey cut off sweats shorts...haha enough adjectives for ya? and i bought this sweeeeeeeeeet t-shirt from there that i've been eyeing up for a while now. It says make love not war or something on it with a huge peace sign on it. awesome...and i got worldperks miles for doing it. yessssss thanks skymall. work went well last night...OH and i got some really exciting news. So my friend ashley's family owns the dog-n-suds in town and they asked me if i would be interested in helping out car-hopping for the first month that they are open and i was all like...heck yesssssssss! So i'm going to be working at both dog-n-suds and at pizza hut. whooop. They make good money there and i think it will be fun so i'm pumped! Anyways...that was a highlight to the day for yesterday. Today I didn't do much of anything either well because it's my day off. I called Linda about the dog-n-suds thing and that was my only priority for the day. haha. I went tanning and for a run this afternoon and slept in hardcore...like 12:30ish. it was nice. then after my run i showered and went over to grandpa and grandma charles's house. sweet times. they got this fabulous new toaster and waffle maker. so i had a B sandwich b/c i don't like the t and they didn't have any l...haha I also ate a waffle and two slices of the amazzzzzzzing bread grandpa bought. sweet stuff. we watched wheel of fortune, big bang theory and how i met your mother and part of dancing with the stars...during all of this I clipped coupons...YESSSS! :) We played a game of Skip-bo and i won! :) Then i decided to go home. Love spending time at the g-parent's house. Stopped at slut hut to get my schedule and dan gave me some training task to complete since he is going to be on vaca all week long. so yea..and now i'm here sitting on my compy...melissa still hasn't called me back so i'm just waiting..............time to go do my nightly work out and go to bed. Tomorrow I need to get some stuff done, like that peer edit and possibly do some reading.

Friday...yesterday, was hilarious.
Work was good because i was making sweet tips and I got to go home an hour early. YESSSSSS! So when I got home mom was sleeping, because she's on overnights right now... and McKinley was being so loud so we went outside and went for our first run of the year. It was exciting to get outside to run because I absolutely hate running downstairs on the treadmill. yuck. he's so good when we go for a run. then when I got back i decided to jump rope for a while (that's right Jump rope!) it's such good exercise for your heart and if you haven't tried it since you were a kid, you should. it's a workout. Then later we celebrated McKinely's 9th birthday. It's so crazy because he doesn't even seem that old. he's 63 in dog years...that's old man mutt. haha So this year for his birthday instead of getting some eggs he got a small bowl of popcorn b/c it's his new fave thing to eat. So we dressed him up, made him do some trick and he ate his popcorn. Oh, he also finished off the bottle of his Kaboom dog breath freshener..b/c he neeeeeeeded it. Then we watched Mahr and I went to bed. Today was a pretty lazy day. I went tanning this morning and sent missy a card in the mail! :) she's going to be so excited and i hope she receives it before she comes home. Then I gave mutty a bath b/c he needed one of those really bad too. haha...then work at 5. It was good...nothing too exciting. I got my monthly gift today and it's like a week early so that kinda threw my off. I needed some junk food and i was whinny at work. Dan came in for a bit so I gave him some crap about how he just can't stay away and he had nothing to dish back at me, like usual. I love it! I got home and mark and I watched SNL and sports center to see if Michigan State won and they did! just like I predicted! YESSSS! :) Well I better get to bed. Dara is going to preach at church tomorrow and I want to go to 8:30 service...maybe I can get my dad to come with me?! :)

Music for the day: Take the Long Way Home by Supertramp. It was about this time last year (actually on Good Friday) when we had a poker game at our house and this song came on the radio and my dad and linda had a moment together about how this was their first album they ever bought. Great song. :)

Catching up on it...

WOW...it's been over a week since i've blogged last. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

I'll start with the dells weekend first. It was fun. It was really awesome of mom to let us use the condo for the weekend and it was also a nice, cheap get away. We went shopping at tanger before we could check in and I got these FABULOUS nike sweatpants for $10 from the Nike Outlet and I got a very cute pair of black ballet flat crocs from the Crocs store for $5! Since, they were so cheap I also bought a Wisconsin Badgers charm and daisy charm. Friday night Bri, Dani and I had dinner so we made pizza and bread sticks with salad. it was an easy meal and perfect base to lay for the girls who drank. I had some delicious Door County wine but I only had about one glass. It was really great to be with Mindy and Brittany. it had been so long since the three amigas were all together at the same time! My girls went to the hot tub while the rest of the girls wanted to party and started playing cards in the room. i played cards too but i had to be responsible so I didn't have the greatest time, you know what i mean? its hard when my butt and my mom's butt is on the line if anything happens (something breaks, noise complaint, something becomes ruined) the girls wanted to play flip cup but I was like...NO way. Our condo was amazing and really expensive so I wasn't about to let that happen. The girls just drank in the room and went to bed at about midnight. Saturday was really fun. We woke up and had french toast bfast and then went to the water parks. I hung out with dani most of the day. i love that girl! we always have such a good time together. We hung out in the lazy river getting a pedicure from the botton of the pool...haha then we were also PSYCHED to go to the wave pool and act as ridiculously as we did last year. ..but we got in trouble by the lifeguard so we had to stop.haha. After hanging out in the water parks all day, we came back to the room and showered up for dinner. We went to Monks and it was delicious. then the girls all came back to the room proceeded to play drinking games and then went out to Marleys. I really wanted to go to Marley's because I love it there but I felt that I needed to just stay back, relax and hang out with my 2 besties. So that's what I did...we had a photo shoot and I showed them the JT dance...haha..bring the beat back. Sunday we cleaned up and headed home. It was a nice weekend all in all.

This week just flew by at work, not during the day when I was there, but looking back on it. I made lots of good money because I was the wait almost every day I worked.

I had a really busy day on Wednesday. i had a forum due, exam, paper due and i had to go down to whitewater. crazy day...

Talked with Jay, Gavin and Katie this week. i miss them all so much! Umm...that's all i really remember right now. Oh I'll blog later about yesterday. I have to go to the bathroom...real bad!

I didn't realize that I haven't blogged since monday..haha. God is sooo soo so so good. did you know that? because he is. I get to spend the weekend with the girls and i'm so happy that it's happening. I missed them all so much and some I haven't seen in a couple years! It's going to be amazing. I am digging into the scripture with our weekly devo from church. I've had a couple people say that they read my blog, which is good...glad someone other than myself is reading it. haha...well I have lots to do today so i'll keep this one short..maybe i'll do another one later in the day after we get to the wilderness! Sunday Fun Day

yesterday was so chill....until i got to work. we were busy...which i like but we were short handed...which i don't like so much. we close at 10:30 and we didn't get out of there until 11:45 and to make matters worse Isaac and Taira were fighting. I had a bad feeling about last night and apparently I was right because he ended up getting into a huge fight with her, pushed her down and started choking her...of course I didn't find this out until today at work. She didn't come in b/c she was still pretty distraught about the whole situation. I hope that she finally realizes that Isaac is dangerous and if she stays with him, she may get severely hurt. Please put her in your prayers (anyone who actually reads this besides me). Pray that she might seek comfort and peace in God.

Today was a pretty chill day as well. I woke up and went to 10:45 service, which i haven't done for quite some time. I went by myself. Pastor was talking about John 3:16 today...a great verse and he also talked about how we as a congregation should become more rooted in our faith walk and take what we learn in church and practice living the word daily and he gave some suggestions for how to do it as well. I liked it. Today in church, we also started a new prayer shawl ministry in which we blessed and said a prayer for those who may need the shawls. After church I talked to pastor about possibly filling out a reference for me for camp and he said yes and then he paused for a moment and said something really hilarious...wait, both of you at camp?! Are they going to be able to handle both of the Charles girls!? haha i bust out laughing. I then told him about how Melissa is sick (she is if you didn't know btw)...and he suggested that I take a prayer shawl for her. I think that it is really an awesome concept and so did she...I spoke with her on the phone today. She was at wal-mart and also out to eat with people after the recharge. I talked with her for a bit and then I also talked to Tim. It was nice talking with him. :) I'm a little jealous because he said he's going to boyz-n-berries tomorrow and sadly i'm not. The badgers lost and my bracket is pretty messed up now....i will laugh though if Syracuse goes all the way..hahahahha! I'm stressing a little about this weekend. its going to be so much fun but there's way more planning involved than i thought would have needed to be. oh well...it will be worth it in the end. I really miss being in Iowa...and keep praying that it's where I am meant to be this summer. and if not, i will visit as much as i can! Pray for that too! i don't really think anything else happened today...work was boring. i'm excited for tomorrow though b/c i get to be the waitress lady and wear earrings and look like a girl...haha. oh, mom's on her first overnight shift at LHS...i hope she does well. New OTH tomorrow something to look forward to. I'm getting sleepy so i should go...maybe i should print these off one day and send them to granny...she would LOVE it! Oh...and i listened to "Out of the Woods" by Nickel creek today...great song...i forgot how great it is.

Blogging again...

Alright,...I haven't blogged in a long time. Like 2 yearsish i think. I just thought it would be a good idea to start up another one. I often forget the exciting things that sometime happen to me in a day anddddd this way if anyone is curious about my life, they can go check out my blog :)

Today is a friday and I went to work...but i did something even more exciting today. I applied at Ingham Okoboji to be a counselor for the summer!!!! Please pray that I get it. I think it is an amazing opportunity to learn more about myself and God. I have been trying to find excuses why I shouldn't apply for the longest time and after my visit this past week, I just had enough and decided to just go for it. God has been pushing me closer to him and here is my chance to shine for him. Praise him for all things! A big reason why I feel called to serve at camp is also because of my sister. She found out on Wednesday that she is sick and I really think that she needs me at camp this summer as a familiar support....heck, i need my sister. I get so excited every time i think about what this summer could bring if i get the job. We'll see....i'm anxious to find out.

Work at slut hut was boring today but it went super fast...i wish every shift was that fast...and smooth. I got all of my stuff done by 11:30! :) After work I came home and gave McKinley a bath because he needed one hecka bad and cleaned forever. I had so much laundry to do and my mom's friend denise is coming to visit tomorrow to attend the Taste of Tomahawk. needless to say I got kicked out of my room and have to stay in my old room and sleep on the futon. it could be good though...i like to switch it up sometimes. So now that my stuff is all clean, i decided to make a blog :) I'm going to check my bracket and see how i'm doing and thennnnnnnn probably go to bed. Objective of the day for tomorrow is to finish the CD's i've been planning on making for Jay since October....am i a bad friend....i think so.
